A new contemporary glass museum will be privately owned by Spazio Berengo in Murano, Italy. The purpose of the museum is to elevate glass to a fine art and to promote local culture through the glass. According to Mr. Berengo, the museum will have “nothing to do with design or with the American studio glass movement.”
It should be a great new museum and I can’t wait to visit it when I go to Italy in September!
